Canadian Cheque Specification Changes

The deadline for adopting the new cheque specifications published by the Canadian Payments Association (CPA), has been extended to September 2nd, 2008. This extended transition or "grace period" will allow businesses that are still working on the changes to use up their existing supply of cheques and to make any required changes to software.

However, all cheques used by customers of financial institutions operating in Canada will require some changes.

We will be happy to discuss how these changes may affect your business, as well as options available for your Sage Accpac system that allow you to print cheques and multi-part forms directly on your own laser printer.
